My Story
I did not wake up one day and decide to become a buyers advocate. It happened more organically than that. After years working in real estate business development, franchise management, recruitment, and training, I realised I had developed a unique set of skills - and more importantly, a deep understanding of how the industry actually works.
What really drove me to start Joanna Boyd Buyers Advocate was personal experience. I saw firsthand how overwhelming property buying can be, especially during major life transitions. Divorce, losing a partner, relocating for work - these are already stressful enough without adding the pressure of finding a new home.
I thought: there has to be someone who can take this weight off peoples shoulders. Someone who knows the market inside out, who can access properties before they hit the public, who can negotiate without emotion getting in the way.
So that is what I set out to do. Today, my team and I help buyers across Brisbane and Queensland find properties that genuinely fit their lives - not just their budgets. We handle the searching, the due diligence, the negotiations, and all the little details in between.
The best part of my job? That moment when a client walks into their new home and it just feels right. That never gets old.
